Punta Prima Punta Prima is a typical Spanish seaside resort situated on the southern Costa Blanca within 30 minutes drive form the international airpots of Murcia and Alicante. The beaches here belong to the cleanest beaches around and they have been awarded blue flags. The climate in Punta Prima is the Mediterranean climate with 320 sunny days a year. Near the beach there is a wonderful promenade with shops and boutiques, bars and restaurants, where you can have a snack. Punta Prima is located ten minutes drive south from Torrevieja and all its facilities such as the shopping comlex of Habaneras, aqua park, Pacha night club, casino, bowling alleys, submarine, ship excursions and Playa Flamenca with its beautiful beaches. For the more energetic tourists, we recommend the walk to Torrevieja, it is only a thirty minute stroll along the coastline or you can take a bus that leaves every hour.
In Punta Prima there is also a shopping centre with a supermarket, Wok Buffet restaurant, Captain's Table restaurant (fish and chips, Sunday roasts and breakfasts), Amigo bar, a Chinese restaurant, Greta Garbo restaurant- a Swedish restaurant open only in the evenings, Subway, Milar, Druni, The Card Place, Nautilus Plaza with American burgers and ice cream, Yu- a pleasant Chinese restaurant, Murphy's Irish Pub. Here are some of the restaurants that you can choose from on the N332 road: Rogues Carvery, Rogues fish bar, Puccini Italian, German, Ghandi Indian, two Chinese restaurants and a few bars. If you want to do a bigger shopping, we recommend you go to Carrefour at Torrevieja or the shopping centre in Zenia Boulevard.
When you are here it is worth visiting gokarting tracks or going to Asturia restaurant-a large restaurant with English-speaking staff. The food here is of very high quality and they serve different kinds of paella. There is a free car park with views of the Mediterranean Sea. In the area there are three golf courses, you can also practise watersports here, you can go fishing or sailing. When you visit the local market you can buy fruit, vegetables, shoes, bags and clothes. The market is open every Saturday in Playa Flamenca.
