San Pedro del Pinatar

San Pedro del Pinatar is a typical, small Spanish seaside resort with a population just over 20 thousand inhabitants, which of course become a lot more in the summer time. To get to San Pedro del Pinatar it is best to fly to Alicante or Murcia airport. When you are at the airport, you can choose from different means of transfer to San Pedro del Pinatar such as private buses, taxis or car hire. San pedro del Pinatar is situated on the N332 road south of Torrevieja on Costa Calida and north of Mar Menor, this region is known as the Orihuela Costa. Mar Menor is the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe. San Pedro del Pinatar is popular with tourists from Northern Europe and with Spanish tourists.

The town is situated about 20 minutes from the international airports of Alicante and Murcia. The summer is long and hot, the winters are mild and this makes the town popular with tourists. Families with children usually come in the summer season, while the winter seasons usually attract tourists from the Northern Europe. The weather is favourable throughout the year, daily temperatures in the summer are over 30C and in the winter temperatures rarely drop below 15C, thanks to which San Pedro del Pinatar is perfect for playing golf even in the winter.

Tourist attractions

San Pedro del Pinatar has a lot of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants and a weekly market on Mondays. At the market you can buy fruit, vegetables, clothes, bags, shoes- most shopping needs can be satisfied in the town.

San Pedro del Pinatar as a seaside town is ideal for watersports enthusiasts, who can enjoy all there is to offer: diving schools, jet skiing, windsurfing or sailing. The Mar Menor Promenade is full of shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants, where you can have a snack. Tapas are a favourite and typically Spanish snacks.
