Torre de la Horadada is a seaside resort located in Southern Costa Blanca with sandy beaches, perfect for families with children who come to spend their holidays here. Nearby there are two airports- Alicante Atet and Murcia San Javier. From the airports you can get to Torre de la Horadada by a private bus, a taxi or a car hire. Torre de la Horadada came into existence from a vast residential area neighbouring Pilar de la Horadada. It is located south from Mar Menor and near to Torrevieja, La Zenia, Mil Palmeras, Cabo Roig, Campoamor, Playa Flamenca and Punta Prima. If you have hired a car, you can visit a lot of beach resorts and spend the most of the beach life on Costa Blanca.
Although Torre de la Horadada is one of the less known seaside resorts, it is one of the prettiest seaside resorts in the south, with an attractive coastline, perfect for walking. One of the oldest historic sights is the observation watchtower.
Despite the age of the tower, the town has mostly developed in recent years, when the demand for seaside houses has grown. Currently the town serves as a coastal arm of the nearby Pilar de Horadada.
Very close to the borders of Alicante and Murcia, Torre de la Horadada together with Pilar de la Horadada and El Mojon is one of the southern resorts, further south you will find Costa Calida and the Mar Menor resort, still a little further you will reach Cartagena and its ancient ruins. Torre de la Horadada is basically a small town, with no tall buildings full of apartments, that cover most of Costa Blanca. In the old part of the town there is a square and a church, you will also find a pharmacy, bank, three supermarkets and a lot of restaurants offering tapas, Spanish food, seafood and some of the dishes from international cuisine.
Golf enthusiasts will find there are a lot of well-known and popular golf courses including Las Ramblas, Villamartin, Campoamor, Campoverde and Lo Romero.
The climate in Torre de la Horadada is the Mediterranean climate, which means there are 300 sunny days a year and that guarantees no rain in the summer and mild winters with little rain.
On the beach of Torre de la Horadada you can find all kinds of facilities of a first class sea resort, with sun loungers, sun shades to hire, a playground for children, wading pools and toilets.
